in one of the City of Londons many conservation areas EPR successfully
negotiated the almost total reconstruction of this Grade 11 listed building
whilst retaining the south and east elevations, the main entrance hall
(in an extended form), main central staircase and lantern light, and a
listed vault.
Added value was derived
through the incorporation of an additional floor behind the mansard roof
where none previously existed focused on a rooflit "atrium" constructed
above the lantern light to the main staircase.
Overall a building
hitherto totally unsuited for modern usage was transformed to provide
2,900m2 of highly serviced, flexible office space attracting an early
initial letting to BP. Savoy Court, London
Client: Speyhawk Mount
