EPR have now completed their major retail refurbishment of the Queensmere Shopping Centre in Slough, for Hammerson UK Properties PLC

Phase 1 of this refurbishment concentrated on the external appearance of the centre, producing an extensive re-modelling of the exterior to create a major new civic Square for the town. Coupled with this has been the provision of two reconfigured main entrances to the centre, and the overcladding of the existing concrete walls.

EPR have also overseen the creation of new retail units to the High Street and new Town Square, and the reconfiguration of existing shops within the centre to ensure that the Queensmere Centre now also meets current retail requirements. A major refurbishment and expansion of the existing cinema was also included within the works, and this has now been taken by Virgin who have just completed its fit out as a 11 screen complex.

Phase 11, a £5m contract, involved the replacement of the mall rooflights and major improvements to the interior of the shopping centre itself, in addition to further reorganisation of the shopping environment.

Client: Hammersons UK Properties plc.
