Eland
House, in Victoria, was constructed for Land Securities PLC
and designed by EPR Architects. Having considered a number
of buildings for the intended relocation from Marsham Street,
the then Department of the Environment (DoE) finally decided
to lease Eland House from Land Securities.
EPR
InteriorsLimited was commissioned by the DoE to design the
fitting out of the building and to co-ordinate the relocation
of the 2,500 staff into their new offices.
In order to provide sufficient accommodation for the relocation,
Ashdown House (also designed by EPR Architects) was refurbished
and fitted out in a similar manner to Eland House.
