Our Practice

EPR Architects is an award-winning architecture studio delivering exemplary architecture, masterplanning and interior design. We are committed to design excellence, with particular expertise in the workplace, hospitality and residential sectors. Our 200-strong team works across three studios — a central London headquarters plus offices in Manchester and the Polish city of Wrocław.

OUR PURPOSE

Established in 1945, EPR combines design ambition and commercial awareness with proven experience and rigorous technical competence. The award-winning results are elegant, timeless and sustainable buildings with the flexibility and longevity to stand the test of time.

Our diverse portfolio benefits not only from EPR’s core specialisms and heritage expertise, but from our valuable insights into emerging new synergies between the sectors.

COLLABORATION

EPR thrives on collaborations, whether with clients, external design teams or internal colleagues. We regard the architect-client relationship as key to project success — 75% of our work is from repeat clients, who value our expertise and experience across a wide range of typologies from boutique hotels to urban regeneration masterplans.

Our success as three times winners of the AJ100 Clients’ Choice Award is testimony to both client satisfaction and design excellence.

LEADERSHIP

As a respected industry leader, EPR believes in being part of the conversations that will shape the profession. The practice takes an active role in developing professional competencies in collaboration with the Royal Institute of British Architects and the Architects Registration Board.

CAMPAIGNS

EXPERTISE

EPR contributes to important research initiatives including New London Architecture (NLA)’s expert panels on work and the high street. These will inform NLA’s New London Agenda vision, which will in turn help influence the next London Plan.

The practice is a signatory of the Architects Declare Climate and Biodiversity Emergency declaration, and is also proud to support The Architects’ Journal’s RetroFirst campaign and The Architectural Review’s W programme for women in architecture.

IMAGINATION

We also pride ourselves on working creatively with artists and craftspeople from outside the practice, and enjoy bringing in their artisanal expertise to enhance our designs.

ARTS + CULTURE

CULTURE

Our collegiate studio style encourages communication and collaboration, enabling us to gain the most from our talented people while at the same time enabling them to flourish. We invest in our people through extensive training and mentoring to ensure that everyone feels nurtured and supported.

STUDIO CULTURE

RESPONSIBILITY

We encourage staff to participate in community outreach including our ongoing programme of school workshops, which are aimed at widening access to the architectural profession. The practice prioritises a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere and encourages a healthy work/life balance. All this is reflected in our consistently low staff turnover.
