EPR Architects EPR Architects granted planning for Ram Brewery Regeneration Project

Planning permission has been granted for Minerva’s Ram Brewery Regeneration Project designed by EPR Architects.

The masterplan will transform the publically inaccessible island site into a series of interlinked urban spaces with the rediscovery of the River Wandle as a unifying element. A neglected and forgotten asset, the river will be transformed with enhanced biodiversity and public access including three new foot bridges.

The Grade II listed Stables and II* Brewery Complex will be retained and sympathetically restored to provide accommodation for boutique retail units, restaurants, a brewery museum, a craft brewery and contemporary loft style apartments. In addition, eleven new buildings including a 36 storey tower will provide a total of 661 residential units above an active ground floor plain of retail complimentary to the existing town centre.

The tower located along the west bank of the river at the northern end of the site continues the established ribbon of high rise development along the Wandle delta from St Georges Park up to the River Thames.

This unique development celebrates and preserves the heritage of the historic site and its brewery buildings creating a significant regeneration in the centre of Wandsworth.
