EPR moves forward with King's House refurbishment
08 Jul 2022
Our refurbishment of King’s House – a 38,000 sq ft building in Manchester’s Parsonage Gardens Conservation Area – will seamlessly blend heritage and character with market leading workspace and modern office amenities. The scheme, which recently received planning permission, will create a blueprint for the redevelopment of heritage buildings in the city; showcasing how modern workplace trends, technology and sustainability can be adapted and embedded while maintaining the character and uniqueness of the property.
Due to start on site in February 2023, the project will deliver a combination of collaborative and traditional office space within a unique building, with supporting tenant lounges, breakout space and wellbeing facilities.
The refurbishment offers unique architectural character with hospitality lead guest experience. The boutique interior celebrates classic British heritage and locality with a contemporary twist, the high quality materials in warm tones enhance the nature of the building, while remaining sympathetic.
Designed with sustainability as a leading factor, EPR’s proposal will significantly reduce Kings House's operational carbon, bringing the building up to current workplace standards whilst preserving the existing building fabric.
