EPR was commissioned by Lore Group to convert eight existing guest rooms into four luxury cabin suites at Sea Containers London, a five-star luxury lifestyle hotel on the South Bank.
Inspired by the most glamorous moments of transatlantic cruising, the Edwardian, Art Deco, Mid-Century and Dynasty cabin suites each offer a portal into a unique era of ocean liner travel and blend nostalgia and craftsmanship with modern luxury hospitality.
The suites were beautifully designed by Jacu Strauss, Creative Director at Lore Group. EPR provided both architectural and interior design services, overseeing the reconfiguration of smaller guest rooms into four expansive suites and delivering Jacu’s vision.
The transformation involved an overhaul of the services and the demolition of the original bathrooms, making way for thoughtfully designed spaces featuring a living area, generous bedroom, four-piece ensuite and additional powder room.
EPR meticulously sourced finishes and details unique to each suite, including sanitaryware and ironmongery, ensuring they reflected the era they were designed to evoke. The result is a collection of four immersive suites, each paying tribute to a distinct design movement, offering a carefully curated journey into a world of playful, vintage glamour.
