Slough Central

Slough

EPR has been appointed to lead the transformation of Slough’s town centre through an ambitious one-kilometre-long masterplan that reimagines the former Queensmere Shopping Centre. The proposals will deliver 1,600 new homes and transform the heart of Slough into a vibrant, social and residential hub, alive with food, culture and community life.

Our masterplan creates a greener, better-connected town centre, with improved pedestrian routes linking the station to the high street. Landscape and nature are woven throughout the development, delivering a substantial biodiversity net gain, including a new public park located just off the high street. By revitalising the high street with a vibrant retail and leisure destination, the scheme will support local businesses and strengthen the wider Slough community.

Phase 1 introduces a new neighbourhood, The Heritage Quarter, inspired by the character and detailing of the nearby Ethelbert Church. This first stage of redevelopment will deliver 359 homes alongside a mix of ground-floor amenities, including retail and restaurant spaces.
