The Metcalf

St James's

Our design for 83 Pall Mall sensitively refurbishes and revitalises a Grade II listed building, originally built in 1911 - 1915 by Henry Metcalf, to deliver 64,000ft2 of prestigious, contemporary office space.

Located in the heart of St James’s, a new rooftop pavilion opening out onto an external terrace offers panoramic views across the park to St James’s Palace and Buckingham Palace. The introduction of new lead-clad dormer windows with full-height glazing maximises natural light and views across the city. External modifications are complemented by fully accessible facilities.

The Metcalf has been designed with sustainability at its core. Retrofitting the existing building retains the existing embodied carbon whilst the carbon in the new structural interventions has been minimised by using a timber and steel hybrid solution.
