Brighton Gasworks

Brighton

EPR’s proposals for the redevelopment of the Brighton Gasworks site will provide a vibrant new residential and creative business community; the missing link between Kemptown, Whitehawk and Brighton Marina.

Following our ‘placemaking first’ approach, EPR’s masterplan creates new pedestrian connections across the site, celebrating its position as a gateway between Brighton and the South Downs whilst drawing nature into the city. Brighton Gasworks will be a permeable and ecologically aware neighbourhood which reverses the hostile, inward-looking nature of the current gasworks site.

The architecture responds sensitively to its local context by providing much-needed affordable homes and workspaces. With a commercial hub at its heart, generous landscaping, residential and employment uses will define the character of the neighbourhood and sustainably regenerate this important brownfield site.
