Prior to EPR's involvement, there had been a series of failed attempts to develop the former car plant site and Napier Park had remained empty since it was sold by Vauxhall in 2000. Vauxhall has been associated with Luton since 1905 and its largest employer for many years. Our client, Augur Group, gained outline planning permission for the site's development in December 2013.

The council wanted the redevelopment to reflect their aspirations for a high-quality residential community coupled with an attractive commercial area that would attract high-tech companies wanting to locate near to the expanding international airport. Consequently, we developed a residential-led mixed-use masterplan providing 625 contemporary and highly functional apartments set within a thriving new community.
