Place North West conference

The head of EPR's Manchester studio David Sparks joined major developers and local authorities including HBD, Kinrise, Northstone, Plus Dane and Manchester and Salford City Councils, for a compelling panel at Place North West's Sustainability in Practice conference.

Chaired by event host Dan Whelan, the panellists delved into the current challenges facing sustainable new build and refurbished property delivery, sharing the latest and most crucial information for those trying to craft the buildings of the future — or retrofit the ones of today.

As well as touching upon the challenges that arise from sustainable building design, David shared insightful perspectives on how development was passing milestones on the journey to net zero and how in Manchester alone, EPR is delivering three 5.5-star Nabers-rated projects, supporting our client's sustainability ambitions by working with them to create resilient buildings that are not only net zero carbon but are built to last.

A big thank you to Place North West for inviting us to partake in such a fantastic event that encourages the construction industry to continue essential discussions on such a pressing topic.
