Festival of Hospitality

EPR Board Director Mark Bruce joined industry experts for the Festival of Hospitality’s interactive Devil’s Advocate discussion, ‘Rethinking the Race: Challenges and Opportunities in Hospitality Construction.’

The panellists tackled key issues facing the hospitality sector, examining how to deliver successful hotels that meet client objectives while considering their impact on the construction process and ensuring value for all stakeholders during the project lifecycle.

In light of the challenges and opportunities in hospitality construction in 2024, with numerous projects completing amid a wave of uncertainty, the panel emphasised the importance of involving the right people — architects, engineers, contractors, and specialists — from the outset. They also highlighted the need to allocate extra time for due diligence and risk identification, as well as fostering strong team relationships to enable open and honest discussions when challenges arise.

Board Director Tiffany Neller also took the stage at the Festival of Hospitality’s MYstorySLAM event to share her journey into the hospitality sector — an evening dedicated to celebrating the magic of hospitality and the people who make it happen. Through her story, Tiffany highlighted the passion, value and diverse paths that define the industry, offering insight into the route that led her to where she is today and the inspiration that fuels her work.

A big thank you to Festival of Hospitality for inviting us to partake in this fantastic event and for championing discussions on these vital topics.
