For the fifth year running, EPR is proud to support the RIBA Future Architects student mentoring scheme. A rewarding process for both sides, the programme provides guidance and advice as students transition from study to practice, whilst offering architects the opportunity to support the next generation of talent.
Eight volunteers from our London and Manchester studios are currently mentoring 24 students from Greenwich University, University of Westminster London South Bank University and Manchester School of Architecture. We are also pleased to share that this year we have been able to extend our reach to support students from Lancaster University.
Recently EPR Technical Director Gary Mountford gave three Greenwich University students an insightful site tour of two of our London hotel projects. The students explored an active construction site and discussed the architect’s journey from concept sketches and presentations, through to technical drawings, construction and completion. EPR’s Manchester mentors met their student mentees and lead workshops on CV writing, interview techniques and goal-setting, supporting them as they plan their career paths and identify the right practice for their year out.
Elsewhere, architects from our London studio gave five Westminster University students an insightful site tour of one of our latest projects — a 60,000 sq ft Grade A office development in the heart of the City close to St Pauls Cathedral.
