Mix Awards Success
We are delighted to share that Island – HBD and Greater Manchester Pension Fund’s 100,000 sq ft net zero carbon office – has been awarded ‘Project of the Year: Workplace Interiors (Over 70k sq ft)’ at the Mix Awards North 2025. Recognised as one of the North’s most prestigious design accolades, the awards celebrate the very best in commercial interior design.
EPR’s interior design concept for Island delivers Grade A office accommodation alongside hotel-style amenities, including a rooftop terrace, food and beverage outlets and event spaces, all underpinned by a strong focus on sustainability, wellbeing and human-centric design. The judges praised the project’s public spaces for their warmth, describing them as ‘welcoming hospitality spaces’ while also highlighting the timber waffle grid ceiling, which ‘adds to that sense of warmth and nods to nostalgia’.
With a record-breaking number of submissions championing future-forward, industry-leading and environmentally conscious design, this achievement is incredibly special and a real testament to our incredible interior design team.
